A truly amazing logistical feat

No gas required - Brattleboro Reformer
BRATTLEBORO -- Louis Palmer has traveled by taxi for more than 27,000 miles across 28 nations in the past 14 months without paying a single cent for gasoline.

The 37-year-old solar pioneer has managed this remarkable feat through the assistance of his Solartaxi, a three-wheeled, two-person vehicle designed to run on nothing but battery power and energy from the sun.
...
Palmer said 50 percent of the energy is produced by solar panels on a trailer attached to the back of the vehicle and stored in two Zebra batteries donated to the project by a European company. The vehicle can travel as fast as 55 mph and can travel as far as 200 miles with the panels.

The other half of the energy comes from solar panels on his Swiss home, which can connect to the vehicle via an electrical outlet.
