Farmers count frost damage - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)
A northern Tasmanian farmer is warning that he and others may need extra Government help to cope with the effects of a devastating frost last week.

Ian MacKinnon, who farms near Conara, says it is likely the frost wiped out millions of dollars worth of crops, including entire fields of canola.

Mr MacKinnon says he has lost a year's income and the frost could not have come at a worse time for cereal growers in the midlands.
