Stewart Franks, Bob Carter and I gave a presentation at Parliament House on Monday evening on Climate Change. Professor Carter focused on global temperatures, I followed with some rainfall graphs for different parts of Australia, and then Associate Professor Franks explained why rainfall along the east coast of Australia is so variable and dominated by either El Nina or La Nina cycles back at least as far as 1660.Climate row claims first victim ahead of EU summit
Our main message was that there is no climate crisis, but that climate change is a natural hazard.
Brussels, Oct 15 (DPA) A simmering row over the European Union’s (EU) plans for fighting climate change seemed to have claimed its first victim Wednesday as the French government dropped plans to propose a common set of rules on how to cut greenhouse gas emissions.The EU has set itself the goal of cutting greenhouse-gas emissions to 20 percent below 1990 levels by 2020.
