Any thoughts on the cause of the generation gap in attitudes? I supposed it might simply reflect the impact of the environmental movement, although I wonder if it also has something to do with “The Simpsons.” This is a generation, after all, that spent its formative years watching Homer in the control room of Springfield’s nuclear plant. For those astute readers of this blog, you will note how the addition of September data warmed our summer months...In other words, when GISS closed the books on August, the summer average (JJA) was 0.39 C. Upon closing the books on September, the summer average increased to 0.44 C.
