But is there really a solid correlation between atmospheric CO2 and sexual violence in Africa?
Stephen Lewis hasn't lost his gift for oratory, even if he himself admits he's not as green as he could be.

"When I grow up I want to be David Suzuki," the former Ontario NDP leader turned international ambassador and globetrotter said Friday night at Blue Mountain Resort. "I wish I had spent more time on environmental issues."

Those issues, he said, can't be separated from other issues, like the faltering global economy, he said.

Lewis was the keynote speaker as the "Go Green at Blue" weekend environmental forum kicked off at the resort. He spoke in nigh-evangelical terms to a not-quite-capacity audience at the new conference centre about some of the social costs climate change will continue to create.

"It's becoming clearer and clearer that the world is heading for a cataclysm in the middle of the 21st century if we don't do something very significantly done."

In Africa, climate change is already creating drought and famines, familiar occurrences that have gotten progressively worse, Lewis said.

In response, populations that are already struggling with epidemics such as AIDS are forced to deal with shortages. The social unrest accompanying the growing resource shortages have been characterized by war, mass murder, ethnocide and fast-growing sexual violence, Lewis said...
Russell Cook | Global Warming and local politics
It's a simple story - the AGW debate is supposed to be settled. But it never happened. To make sure it DIDN'T happen, it appears an attempt was made to get a highly funded pro-AGW candidate(with ties to George Soros??) into our Arizona Corporation Commission, an agency with elected members who regulate our local electric utility companies - and who will decide if the Western Climate Initiative cap-and-trade plan is credible or pointless.......

Since he lost his election (the margin is now over 2,300 votes), Arizona's GOP legislature leaders and GOP majority in the Corporation Commission can now freely ask the WCI planners, Al Gore and the IPCC, "You say humans are causing global warming. Can you prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt?"...
