Snake oil salesmen always need to move on to the next "town" as soon as the townfolk have finally realized that what he's been selling is just colored water, alcohol and sugar and only makes you sicker.
And if he hangs around too long, he gets tarred and feathered. That's way too good of a final fate for this phony, lying, exagerating, alarmist, cheating, scumbag!
Here's the problem with the whole deal:
Subsidies to not an economy create.
Going from powering our building with electricity, to powering our buildings AND TRANSPORTATION is not conservation. Furthermore, existing alternative energies cannot even meet the former need, much less the latter. At least not at an incomprehensible expense and risk.
The backpedaling of the rhetoric in light of mounting evidence against it, makes it very unclear as to what exactly we are fighting, as well as how and why? When the rhetoric changes faster than the legislation can be enacted, why would anyone be in a rush to enact it.
People voted against alternative energies and fuels in most of the places they were on the ballot this year, even California. Civil War seems like something far off the reservation, but when government begins mandating taxes unilaterally at business and private taxpayers, based on rationales that are neither accepted or proveable, it may not be. This is, after all, quite similar to how the first Civil War started. Forcing an unshared ideology on people at the expense of their livelihood will draw this type of reaction. Granted in the Civil War, the ideology was right minded. And likewise, were the earth really in danger that would be different. But in Gore's case, the ideology is a crackpot junkscience con to make him rich on our money.
Do well-meaning educated people really want to go down this path? Gore stands to put our progress as a nation back some 150 years, backed by con men, narcissists, and new-religion fanatics. When will the curtain finally drop on this shameless lying scumbag...?
