Melanoma cases likely to decline - New Zealand news on Stuff.co.nz
Scientists think that climate change will speed up a recovery of the ozone layer over much of the world and block out more of the damaging UV rays.

If that is true, a lot more solar cells will be needed to achieve the same amount of electricity, as a considerable amount of UV is used for the photoelectric effect.

I hereby nominate Susan Solomon from NOAA as Queen of Junk Science.

Susan "proved" the connection between CFC and the "loss" of the ozone layer - based on the extremely weak assumption that chemical reactions were somehow "catalyzed" at -90 degrees C.

Susan has lately been crusading to "stop" the world from overheating - which, according to her, humans have been doing since the year 1750!

Great work, Susan! Tell me - would it have been more fun to spend three months at McMurdo Base in Antartica with year 1750 technology?

Did you happen to burn any fossil fuel while you were there to keep yourself warm?

Or was it all just whale blubber and stuff?
