Tony Sharp: More BBC global warming disinformation
Not only are we ill-served by this biased and deliberately misleading editorial line, we are forced to pay for this propaganda campaign or else be fined or imprisoned. It is an insult.New Hampshire: What it's like to work with weather instruments in an allegedly overheated world
At one point, I had to take my glove off to tighten a small connector and within 10-15 seconds my hand had already gone numb and started to hurt. A little bit later, I spent about 10 minutes straight on the top of the tower; by the time I came back in my face was numb (even though I had a face mask on) and my hand were extremely cold, this time through a couple pairs of thin gloves!...
That unseasonable cold will continue into tomorrow. Tonight the temperature will drop to around 10 below, which is very impressive for this time of year. The record low for today (11 below zero last set in 1987) or perhaps tomorrow (13 below last set back in 1994) may be challenged tonight. Along with the drop in temperature will come a significant increase in wind speed. By later tonight winds will be sustained anywhere from 65-85 mph with gusts likely exceeding the century mark. If we do get 100+ mph gusts, this will be the first time I have been on the mountain for one since April! These high winds coupled with the cold temperatures will make for some very cold and dangerous winds chills of around 50-60 below zero. At those values, frostbite can occur on exposed skin in as little as 5 minutes.
