DALLAS (AP) - Authorities are blaming icy roads in North Texas for at least two deaths.

Hundreds of weather-related wrecks wreaked havoc on motorists since Monday night, and it's not expected to get any better during the afternoon commute. The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has extended a winter weather alert to 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Once again, Washington is at odds with itself. It wants to save U.S. automakers with billions in taxpayer dollars at the same it wants to save the planet at a cost to automakers of billions of dollars.

When Barack Obama discusses his cap-and-trade policy (it gets good around the 32-second mark), at least he acknowledges “electricity costs will necessarily skyrocket.”

I’m not sure why this isn’t getting more attention. People in this country were outraged when gas was $4-per-gallon.
