American Thinker Blog: Was 2008 the year that man-made global warming was disproved?
More accurately, 2008 will go down as the turn of the tide in the global warming debate: The year that skeptics gathered strength and were able to start making their case to the people. It was also a year that proponents of man made global warming were unable to smear skeptics as simple "tools" of industry - not when thousands of scientists not associated with any think tank or company that gets monies from the energy industry joined in an effort to stop this political juggernaut from overrunning common sense and bringing ruin to our economies.NC Media Watch: It is the reporting - Stupid
As more and more prominent scientists call for slowing down this rush to judgment, it will get harder for man made climate change advocates to impose their draconian solutions. Mr. Booker did his part this year by publicizing many of the conclusions reached by these scientists and for that, he should be congratulated.
I am sure we have all wondered why our relatives, the clerk in the store and your doctors receptionist all believe in the global warming hoax. Well it could be how climate change is reported. One sided at best and out right advocacy at it's worst. Below is a front line review of TV Global warming reporting by Art Horn, a TV Meteorologist for 25 years. Many television meteorologists have expressed their concern about the one sided global warming reporting. And many of them have been called into the news directors office and been told to clam up or move out. This is fact but of course this is news that will never be reported. Only those in the business and who know the meteorologist personally know this. This is the strange "climate" will live in. As the world temperature continues to go down (also never reported) reporters and anchors both at the local and national level are in a difficult position. They don't have the science background to understand the issue and pressure from above could spell disaster to their careers if they question the corporate dictates and motivations.
