Australian Climate Madness: ABC peddles yet more alarmist BS

Obama Beware: Brinksmanship Over Carbon Trading in Europe - Green Inc. Blog - NYTimes.com
Last year, the European Union pledged to take aggressive measures to cut its greenhouse gas emissions 30 percent by the end of the next decade if other countries adopted similar measures.

Today, the bloc members have whittled that to 20 percent, and they are still struggling to set the rules to make it happen.

The gridlock in Europe should be considered a cautionary tale for the incoming administration led by President-elect Barack Obama. Mr. Obama made pledges to use similar carbon trading systems based on the sale of all permits.
