Fetzer Vineyards recently switched to lighter weight glass to cut shipping costs and be more environmentally friendly. The winery’s new bottles are on average 14 percent lighter, with the 750-milliliter bottles now weighing 15.5 oz. when empty.

Again, if you actually believe that small amounts of CO2 may kill our grandchildren, why not just encourage your customers to drink delicious tap water instead of wine? Failing that, why not only sell to local customers who can personally pick up their wine via foot or bike?
