Full speed ahead for China's coal trains
China plans to spend more than 150 billion yuan ($21.8 billion) over the next six years to add some 2,000 km of railway track in the coal-rich region of northern Shanxi province, the Xinhua news agency reported on Sunday.

New coal-to-liquids plant planned
"ROANOKE, W.Va. -- A New York firm announced plans Tuesday to build a $3 billion plant in Mingo County to turn coal into gasoline. TransGas Development Systems LLC said the project would create 200 permanent jobs turning 8,500 tons of coal into 18,000 barrels of gasoline every day."
