Inhofe proposes taxpayers get half of the bailout refunded
[Inhofe] My other two missions for January will be opposing both the Cap and Trade on Global Warming and The Fairness Doctrine.Deep thoughts from alarmist Phi Plait
I’ll let you read those links for the details. But here’s my opinion: Awe. Some. Holdren has some pretty good credentials, including on climate change. That last bit allows me to say, with all the schadenfreude you care to assign to me, that I hope this makes global warming deniers cry into their oil stock portfolios.Allegedly about Phil Plait
He is a skeptic, and fights misuses of science as well as praising the wonder of real science.Climate Change Fraud - Because the debate is not over - 'Blood-letting' as Obama energy policy
Paul Driessen of CFACT says the appointment of Steven Chu as energy secretary, Lisa Jackson as Environmental Protection Agency administrator, and Carol Browner as climate czar is troubling in that they all adhere to the belief that manmade carbon emissions are driving "global warming."
He believes that this team, along with Congress, will push aggressively to create "green jobs" and put harsh restrictions or even eliminate industries that depend on hydrocarbon-based energy. Chu has even stated that when it comes to climate change, coal is the problem and that it needs to be eliminated.
Driessen compares that approach with the old practice of blood-letting. He explains that in 1799 George Washington was killed by that practice when his physicians drained a substantial amount of his blood, trying to cure malaria and a sore throat. His physicians improperly thought that his blood was the problem.
"So now we are looking at our hydrocarbons, which are the life blood of the American economy, and trying to do blood-letting on a massive scale amounting to a quart or more of blood from a human being, and getting rid of that because it has what some people think are the impurities of carbon dioxide that causes global warming," says Driessen.
