...We then calculated our school’s average yearly carbon footprint. 11,247 tons! I was shocked when I calculated this number. So we set out to do something. We needed this mural to MEAN something! SO, the title of our mural is “Our pledge to reduce our 11,247 ton yearly carbon footprint.’ Today, as global warming action day, many students showed up a lunch to put their foot shaped hand print on the black part of the mural, as their own pledge to reduce Rothesay High’s collective carbon footprint. These foot shaped hand-prints are done put making a fist and putting paint on the side of your first then using that as a print… It ends up looking like a foot and then you put toes on it.
