Over the long term the loss of lives from disasters has gone down remarkably.

I don't see the effect of the Tsunami in Indonesia on that graph. Why?

While the author of the article referenced in the previous post is making large illogical jumps in attempting to correlate natural disasters with global warming, once again, fatalities are not a reliable indicator of the severity or frequency of natural disasters. Building codes, quality of living, improved mitigation and rescue efforts in stricken areas, and other factors would be expected to cause a decrease in fatality rates of natural disasters.
