Wind Watch: Turbines have a massive environmental footprint
Equally problematic is the governor’s evident inability to see the elephant in the room. The essence of green technology is that it strives to leave little or no environmental footprint. The essence of wind technology is a massive environmental footprint with, in our region, hundreds of turbines planned, each nearly 500 feet high, with continuously moving rotors longer than a football field, extending for scores of miles throughout hill and dale. The contradiction between green intentions and wind reality is rivaled only by the way Cinderella’s stepsisters tried to make that darned slipper fit their own outsized feet….
