Who is Being Facile? | Climate Skeptic
...I ask that people use their terms carefully. I am not a “denialist” if that is meant to mean that I deny any anthropogenic effects on temperature or climate. I am a denialist if that is meant to mean that I deny that warming from anthropogenic Co2 will cause catastrophic impacts that will outweigh the cost of Co2 abatement.
From Al Gore's introduction in Poznan
Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. The man that I have the honor of introducing to you today really needs no introduction. He is well known in all corners of the world for his tireless work on bringing climate change to people's attention. He is known for transforming the complicated calculations, methods and projections of climate change science into something real, something tangible, something that everybody can comprehend, digest and integrate. And he did so at a time when a large part of the world didn't think it mattered, when the climate change skeptics still had their heyday but he persevered.

Mahatma Gandhi, one of the most inspirational leaders in the history of the world said halfway through the last century, that the most powerful force in politics but he persevered with conviction. He inspired people to listen, to stop to think and to act. Indeed without his key role in creating public awareness for climate change, the world probably wouldn't be pushing for solutions and political answers to climate change in the way it increasingly is.
Gandhi Quotes
You must be the change you wish to see in the world.
