The media story goes on. In 2005, a number of hurricanes hit the Southeast and the Gulf Region. Before Katrina, the media raised the specter that these storms were due to global warming (without a shred of evidence and in direct contrast to the opinions of most scientists - which is a problem when you claim to be reporting the views of science). A British study had shown that the earth had actually entered a cooling period in 1998. But none of that had any consequence. The far left Air America crowd even raised the possibility that the President was "seeding hurricane clouds."
