Bitter cold wave drops temps to records lows in upper Midwest on heels of snowstorm
BISMARCK, N.D. - Residents of the upper Midwest bundled up or just stayed inside Tuesday as a wave of bitterly cold air barreled south out of the Arctic, following on the heels of a fast-moving blizzard.

Some schools closed because of the cold and temperatures hit the single digits as far south as Kansas and Missouri.

The coldest air spilled across the Canadian prairie into the Dakotas and Minnesota. Grand Forks, N.D., dropped to a record low of 37 degrees below zero Tuesday morning, lopping six degrees off the old record set in 1979, the National Weather Service said.
Newsmax.com - Global Cooling Headed Our Way
Excuse me while I gloat, but it's fun to say I told you so.

Americans are surprised to learn that President-elect Obama's choice to be his global warming czar, one Carol Browner, was listed as one of 14 leaders of a socialist group's Commission for a Sustainable World Society, which calls for "global governance" and says rich countries must shrink their economies to address climate change, according to the Washington Times.

A global warming militant a socialist? How can that be? Well, it can be because the whole purpose of the AGW scam is nothing less than a covert movement to create a world socialist order.

And I don't even grant that there is a consensus among scientists; it's just that the press only promotes the global warming alarmists and ignores or minimizes those of us who are skeptical. To many of us, there is no convincing evidence that carbon dioxide produced by humans has any influence on the Earth's climate.

Arguing that our country should decrease its use of fossil fuels is a laudable goal, but the reason to do so should be to reduce our reliance on energy from foreign sources, not to reduce the danger from some imaginary boogeyman.

Green Wacko Tobacco - Chris Horner, HUMAN EVENTS
The bizarre spectacle of scientists dismissing the obvious to push the absurd should indeed seem familiar, smacking as it does of those very same “tobacco scientists” the alarmists shriek about in a collective fit of what the couch-time crowd calls “projection”. Cooling has become the new warming, alarmism the new denial, and it is now quite clear who really resembles the “tobacco scientist” in the global warming game.
