Church of England Invests in Al Gore’s Ponzi Scheme
Penny wise, pound foolish? In a breathtaking leap of faith, the Church of England has decided to gamble £150 million on global warming alarmist Al Gore’s sketchy investment firm, Generation Investment Management (GIM).AdelaideNow... As the planet cools, check the science
What makes the investment so risky is that GIM stands to make a killing only if the U.S. government cracks down on carbon dioxide emissions.
APART from the global financial crisis, the main issue this year has been global warming. Or, rather, the fear of global warming.Maine: Crews Battle Deadly Fire In Augusta
Inconveniently for global-warming alarmists, global average temperatures have, for 10 years running, fallen short of those recorded in 1998.
...
Perhaps Prime Minister Kevin Rudd should make a New Year's resolution to fund serious, objective, scientific research on the climate. This indeed would be a global contribution.
An early morning fire in Augusta has left at least one person dead and five others homeless. Augusta's fire chief told New 8 that the fire was so intense when they arrived they could only fight it from the outside. The cold weather caused problems for firefighters because it froze some of their equipment and they had to rotate crews to keep the firefighters warm. Crews from surrounding towns were also called in to help fight the fire.

What a colossal waste of money our governments throw at fighting Global Warming. When I see programs like this or read about increasing government involvement to curb climate change one way or another, I can’t help but cringe at the huge amount of wasted time, effort and money we all want to throw at something we can’t control.
Our money would be better spent on fighting disease, poverty and famine. At least that way we’d actually help mankind fight real life tragedies instead of imaginary ones.
