Cold month of December proves costly
Wisconsin Public Service Corp. said Thursday that December heating costs were 17 percent higher than normal.
...
December was 6.2 degrees colder than average, according to the National Weather Service's preliminary statistics. Twenty-four of the month's 31 days were colder than the historical average, including the first 12 days; five of them double-digit colder.

Some scientists refuse to make their work available for scrutiny on the grounds that they have invested tens of years in their research, which they will not have challenged. Scientific research has always advanced by scrutiny of existing research, but not in the field of climate research, it seems.

The global warming scam is perpetuated to raise taxes, give scientists a nice little earner and provide the old loony left with a bit of influence, having swapped their red flags for green ones.

The Inauguration is coming
The worst that this winter holds for the eastern part of the nation could unfold over the next 10 to 15 days. The cold air that has been stored over arctic regions is nothing short of brutal, and there is every indication that a large chunk of it will come down into the United States next week.

So what are we talking about in terms of numbers? Take Chicago for a starter where there may be a day next week when the temperature fails to reach zero. Even worse will be the icebox region of northern Wisconsin and northern Minnesota where overnight temperatures could be as low as 40 below!

Get ready New York, Philadelphia and Washington. Even the heat-island effect will not save you this time. Next Thursday, temperatures in those cities will be hard pressed to get out of the teens.
