For Gore, a very inconvenient astronaut

June '06: Gore Slams Global Warming Critics
In an unprecedented, uninterrupted eight-minute monologue on Keith Olbermann’s "Countdown," Gore characterized those scientists who dispute the reality of global warming as part of a lunatic fringe.

Later, on Charlie Rose’s show, Gore went further. Asked by Rose "Do you know any credible scientist who says ‘wait a minute – this hasn’t been proven,’ is there still a debate?” Gore replied, "The debate’s over. The people who dispute the international consensus on global warming are in the same category now with the people who think the moon landing was staged on a movie lot in Arizona.”
Astronaut Jack Schmitt Joins Skeptics
American astronaut Dr. Jack Schmitt - [one of the last men to walk on the moon] - is the latest scientist to be added to the roster of more than 70 skeptics who will confront the subject of global warming at the second annual International Conference on Climate Change in New York City March 8-10, 2009.

Good for Jack, but as an FYI, 10 of the 12 to walk on the moon are still alive.

Al Gore is like a poker player who has a pair of 2's. But he senses that he's playing against opponents who have a Full House, a Straight, and possibly even 4 of a Kind.

He senses he's about to lose his credibility - big time - so realizes the only thing to do is bluff like crazy.

Soon he will have to show his cards.

Apollo 14 scientist-astronaut Phil Chapman (a physicist, who never himself went into space) is also a skeptic of global warming.

Al Gore is a liar. The debate is not over, and he either knows it or is willfully shutting his eyes to it.

Har har, and ask Jack if he didn't really land on the moon then?

Shurly you mean "one of the last living men to walk on a movie lot in Arizona".

Agree with Pelalusa completely. Remember, AlGore has made a lot of money from the global warming swindle. He wants (needs) it to go on as long as possible.

Didn't you hear? The solid rocket boosters used by the Shuttle are bad nasty for The Environment. Use of enviro-friendly glue to hold the external tank insulation in place is voided by that glue's failure and Columbia's subsequent destruction. Several tons of litter, y'know. Hence, all previous accomplishments by NASA have been scrubbed from the records (except the ones where bad data supports AGW). Besides, Armstrong's words ("one small step...") were not gender nuetral, so they don't count, either.

"One of the last men to walk on the moon" refers, no doubt, to the order in which they walked (Schmitt is #12 of 12), not to survivorship.

Schmitt was the last person to *first* set foot on the moon, and he was the second-to-last person to have a foot on the moon. Last off the LEM, first back on.

Of course, since I am being pedantic, I might as well point out that at no time did his actual foot come in contact with the lunar surface.

herringchoker, it's 'surely' - and don't call me Shirley

I would suspect, though, that his foot may soon come into contact with the surface of Al Gore's ass.

Since you are being pedantic, surely you mean, "that at no time did his actual foot come in contact with the lunar surface while he was on the moon" or do you claim to know what he did with lunar samples in the lab?

pete e: he did not bring back the lunar surafce with him. He brought back dirt and rocks FROM the lunar surface. His only opportunity to set foot on the lunar surface was while actually on the moon for those three days.

Stanely Kubrick walking with Nazi NASA scientist on a secret lot with massive hangers VIDEO.

Banned from TV, suspicous post moon walk conference in Europe..."I overshoot landing zone, had 14sec of fuel left, made perfect landing other than that"(Buzz)

The Euros were laughing at USA, 50% of world were skeptical. Last moonwalk got ignored by NFL game, the program was booted by NFL ratings ?

Armstrong sends cryptic messages about truth and lies, is in constant hiding, regrets not spending that time with family instead of being an astronaut, dissapointed to tears that NASA did not keep promise to moon in next decade, making him look like a fool.

"I used to laugh out loud at college buddies that claimed the moon landings were staged, but 8yrs in WH, I no longer laugh at those guys.

2009 evidence of extreme radiation may delay 2020 moon trip says NASA..........gee you think we are all fools all the time ?
