Al Gore's Nobel peace Prize-winning production 'An Inconvenient Truth' was certainly a paradigm-changing moment in the world psyche of climate change, however at the same time Al Gore and climate change are a paradox. Every citizen of the planet, now and in the future owe him gratitude for putting that together. The science is good, the message is clear and the production was engaging. Al Gore is one of the great heroes of this century to be sure. So why are there millions of Americans and millions of others worldwide who don't buy climate change?

At issue was the health of Canada's 13 polar bear populations. On one side, researchers told federal Environment Minister Jim Prentice that the bears could be virtually extinct in a century. On the other, Inuit leaders spoke of bear populations doubling over the past 50 years, proliferating to the point of becoming a pest in many northern communities.
