Note to politicians: Without enough reliable power generation, things can get very ugly

Nepal: Students' protests obstruct transportation in capital
...Siraha chapter of the Nepal Students’ Union (NSU) padlocked the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) office in the district for two hours as part of its protest against the increasing load-shedding hours.

The NSU said it resorted to padlock the NEA office as many industries and business houses are on the verge of collapse due to the prolonged power cuts.

It has demanded ease in electricity, decrease in minimum electricity charges, among others.

The NSU has also warned to increase the duration of padlock by two hours every day if their demands are not fulfilled immediately.
