Prince George Citizen - Countless scientists deny global warming
Just because almost all of the scientific community believes in man-made global warming proves absolutely nothing, Bryson said. "Consensus doesn't prove anything. There is very little truth to what is being said and an awful lot of religion. It's almost a religion. Where you have to believe in anthropogenic (or man-made) global warming or else you are nuts.
"The growth of cities makes it hotter, but that was true back in the 1930s, too," Bryson said. "Big cities were hotter than the surrounding countryside because you concentrate the traffic and you concentrate the home heating. And you modify the surface, you pave a lot of it."
Regarding Al Gore's movie about global warming, An Inconvenient Truth: "Don't make me throw up," Bryson said. "It is not science. It is not true."

The Global Warming Heretic: Vegas: We're concerned about climate change! Really!
Once the hour is done (with gamblers inside the casinos perhaps unaware of the spectacle outside), the warm glow of having Done Something To Save The Earth will be replaced by the warm glow of countless neon lights and incandescent bulbs, and The Strip will move on as if nothing had happened.
Earth on the Brink of an Ice Age - Comment from Gregory Fegel | CO2sceptics
I see no reason to assume, based on dubious evidence such as AGW and other unknowns, like anthropogenic global cooling or changes in solar output, that anything will interrupt the Ice Age cycle as it has been performing for the past million years and more.
...
It seems to me that instead of wasting so much 'hot air' on the dubious idea of AGW, human society would be wiser to at least develop some contingency plans for how the world's nations will respond to the onset of the next Ice Age, an event which is both inevitable and potentially imminent according to the data.
Canada: This winter "much worse" than last year's "winter from hell": ‘Strange’ January weather surprises climatologist
This season it appears Mr. Frost has broken the weather records across the landscape of southern York Region and Environment Canada senior climatologist David Phillips has the statistics to prove it.

While last year’s record-breaking snowfalls across York Region and southern Ontario garnered the winter of 2007/08 the notorious name tag, ‘the season from hell,’ statistics from Environment Canada reveal that the winter of 2008/09 could be freezing and snowing us into the record books yet again.

Measurements recording total snowfall, snow frequency and frigid temperatures at nearby Buttonville Airport have raised the eyebrows of climatologists such as Mr. Phillips this season.

“The weather this winter has been interesting to say the least, with residents in Richmond Hill having to endure a double whammy of snow and cold weather.

“Last year was regarded by many as the winter from hell, but at this point, the winter of 2008/09 has been much worse,” Mr. Phillips said this week.

Also, I am concerned about climate change, especially the adverse impact it will have on Canada with increased variability and more weather extremes. However, I am optimistic that Canadians will do the right thing about climate change. It is solvable. We have the capacity to deal with it. We know the problem. The science is strong.
