Statistical Heating of the Antarctic « The Air Vent
Ok, the net positive trend is not indicative of warming but the local area negative trends are? WTF! This is actually in an accepted nature paper. Sure it’s about one local region but think about it. What is going on if the ice trend increases, why is it acceptable to pick out a region of the antarctic and use that as the example when everyone knows the sea ice has increased?
Kevin Grandia | Another "Inhofian" moment for the head-in-sand Senator
What Inhofe fails to grasp is that science is not a popularity contest where the person with the most friends wins. It's about researching and publishing your findings in the peer-reviewed scientific literature where it is held up for all to see, scrutinize and be challenged.
...
And by the way, I'm serious about raising the money to defeat Inhofe in his next Senate race.
Hey Kevin--why didn't you do that in 2008? [He won by 17 points (more than twice Obama's margin of victory), and he's not up for reelection again until 2014].
