Tim Ball: Recycling Climate Change for Profit
I have said the IPCC focus on CO2 is akin to saying my car is not running well and I am going to determine the cause by ignoring the engine (sun), the transmission (water vapor), and most other mechanical parts and focus on one nut (CO2) on the right rear wheel. Worse, they only look at one thread of the nut, the human portion of CO2. The ease with which they have achieved this degree of focus is frightening, but understandable because it was premeditated.
Wind Watch: Company withdraws plan for wind farm near The Dalles
A wind power company has pulled the plug on its plan to build a string of turbines on Seven Mile Hill outside The Dalles.

Opponents, who had complained the wind farm site was too close to residences, bordered a national scenic area and might harm wildlife, hailed the announcement as a significant victory.
Wind Watch: High number of residents oppose turbines
Today Sophie Andreae, chair of the Offa’s Dyke Association, in Knighton, said there had been a number of objections, including ones from Natural England, which was concerned about the potentially damaging effect on the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

She added: “There have been around 1,400 letters of objection, more than to any planning application ever received by Herefordshire.”
Wind Watch: Lack of side benefits cited
The public benefits created by the development of hydro-electric power plants are not provided by wind farms, an Environment Court appeal hearing for Meridian Energy’s proposed $2 billion Project Hayes wind farm has been told.
