"Wheat May Bake in the Fields", [Idiotic] Climate Scientists Warn | BNET Food Blog | BNET
Forget polar bears and Greenland ice caps — global warming is threatening our food supply, and could bake the grain growing in the U.S. heartland before farmers ever get a chance to harvest it, warn climate scientists at the University of Washington.
Snowstorms don’t mean climate change threat has passed: alleged expert | Straight.com
British Columbia’s holiday snowstorms drove everybody crazy. But, apparently, no one more so than climate scientists.

“Every time there is a freaking snowfall, it seems like everybody is going, ‘What’s going on?’” Andrew Weaver told the Straight. “It’s frustrating as a climate scientist.”

Weaver, a climate-modelling expert at the University of Victoria and a lead author with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, explained that whenever a cold streak hits, some people question accepted theories of climate change and grow skeptical about global warming.
globeandmail.com: Armageddon theory: Vancouver
I tie it all to Vancouver. So much of what the alarmists promised was supposed to be happening now isn't happening. So many events are running counter to their near-term projections, they've decided to go all Armageddon with their long-term ones, projections for a future that none of us will be around to check. So here's the test: The colder it gets in Vancouver, the hotter the dubious scenarios for the globe a hundred years from now will be.
Texas: Greenhouse gases likely a low priority for Legislature
On the presidential campaign trail, both Barack Obama and John McCain said they would champion federal measures that cap emissions of carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas linked to global warming.

But with "global warming" a radioactive term in the Texas Legislature, state lawmakers in the coming session are expected to constrain their response to environmental issues to a series of measures that encourage consumers to buy efficient appliances and build more efficient houses and coax utilities to invest in renewable energy.
