That's what Karl says! | Michigan Tech Lode
Despite the warm weather outside on Saturday afternoon, the final day of Winter Carnival festivities, more than 100 people filed inside Fisher 135 for a presentation by arguably the UP’s foremost weather expert, Karl Bohnak. Bohnak has anchored WLUC TV6’s weather center since 1988, shortly after receiving his American Meteorological Seal of Broadcasting Approval.Jan '07, from chemist/alarmist Andrew Dessler: Should we burn climate skeptics at the stake?
...
Additionally, Bohnak explained his views on one of the most hotly contested climate topics, global warming. He said that there is no real evidence for it. He admits that the earth is going through a warming trend, but anecdotal evidence from the Middle Ages of a similar trend along with a lack of accurate equipment until recent decades makes the theory hard to prove. He added that humans statistically only account for about four percent of carbon dioxide output, and that CO2 levels are only one contributing factor in addition to the little-understood factors such as sun activity and other environmental contributors. Whether you agree or not, as a catchy TV6 marketing line once said, “that’s what Karl says!”
On one hand, I can definitely see Heidi's point. As a member of the AMS, it burns me up to see a nutcase with AMS credentials. I wouldn't shed too many tears if meteorologists who disagree with the following statements have their AMS certification yanked:
1. The Earth has warmed by 0.6 deg C over the last 100 years.
2. Humans are likely to blame for most of the recent warming.
3. Models run with plausible estimates of future greenhouse gas emissions predict warming of 1.4 to 5.8 deg C.
4. This warming might lead to serious impacts.

I beat Dessler to a pulp so many times it's not even fun anymore, and no matter how fatal the thumping the zombie keeps lumbering ahead.
Burning at the stake might be the only option.
