Deep freeze locks in Hyder, Alaska [registration required to read article]
It's been cold in Hyder. Cold enough that locals - younger locals at least - are saying they've never seen it this way. So cold that Diana Simpson took a photo of her husband, Jim, standing in front of his boat on the frozen water of Portland Canal. The Murgatroyd Blog: The End of Journalism and the Death of Science

Jim Simpson said he'd lived in Hyder for 39 years and had never seen freezing on Portland Canal.
Lovelock suggests that some 5 billion will die as a result of global warming and climate change and, because he used to be a scientist, this is then presented as some sort of scientifically based “evidence” when in fact it is total speculation (a.k.a. “bulls**t”).

Hi,
I came to Hyder in 1959 and have seen the canal freeze up 2 times back then...Pat Kristovich used to break the ice up with his boat...Big Canadian ships used to dock in Hyder as they couldn't make it through the ice to Stewart.
