Hansen on “death trains” and coal and CO2 « Watts Up With That?
One point apparently causing confusion among our readers is the relative abundance of CO2 in the atmosphere today as compared with Earth’s historical levels. Most people seem surprised when we say current levels are relatively low, at least from a long-term perspective - understandable considering the constant media/activist bleat about current levels being allegedly “catastrophically high.” Even more express surprise that Earth is currently suffering one of its chilliest episodes in about six hundred million (600,000,000) years.

16 February 2009 - New Zealand charcoal technology company Carbonscape' announced today that Tim Flannery, Australian of the Year (2007), author of The Weather Makers and international campaigner on climate change, is joining the team as a board director.

"I'm delighted to be joining Carbonscape" says Tim, "The technology developed by Carbonscape is exciting and promises to make a dent in carbon dioxide levels. We have to get greenhouse gas levels down and fast. Carbonscape offers the possibility of doing that."
