If sea levels rose less than an inch per decade last century, why should they rise over 6 inches per decade for the rest of this century?

The most recent estimate looks pretty dire. The Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC), a state planning agency, says it expects San Francisco Bay to rise about 16 inches by 2050, and 55 inches by the end of the century.

And if sea level rose 100 meters in the last 12000 years, you know what they call the last 20 feet? Margin of error.
