Obama's speech
The problem with President Obama's agenda is that it is built on serial fantasies, fantasies which ignore the real benefits of things such as nuclear power and oil exploration. If any energy source has the potential to compete in the market, it should be allowed to do so without question. But the more the government uses taxpayer dollars to invest in renewable energy, the more the government puts traditional sources of energy at a competitive disadvantage. Presumably that’s the point. Crowding out investment in coal and oil will make room for unconventional sources of energy but at the cost of the consumer who will end up paying higher electricity bills and could face of rolling brown outs or blackouts.
