Taiwan: Agricultural losses from cold weather top NT$67 million
The cold weather right before and during last month's Chinese New Year holiday caused losses of more than NT$67.83 million (US$2.01 million) to Taiwan's agricultural sector, according to statistics released Wednesday by the Council of Agriculture.

This may be way off the beaten expert and scientific path, but I really wish global warming were happening, and I wish Kalamazoo were the epicenter. It has been anything but warm lately, and the march to the bus stop has been treacherous every day. It must be hard being a scientist. You can only come up with so many theories and research projects at a time that will be viable to sustaining fellowships, funding and an income.
