This could be interesting: Monthly science chat: climate change
Tomorrow I'll be hosting an online chat with two climate scientists from Texas A&M University, John Nielsen-Gammon, who is also the state climatologist, and Andrew Dessler, an expert on water vapor and climate policy. The chat will begin right here at 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday and last for about an hour.

We'll use the same software that I used during Ike, so you can just show up and watch, or submit questions. Questions and comments will be moderated. Between the two scientists they should be able to handle anything from long-term temperature changes in Texas to the future of U.S. climate policy.

If you can't make it live, the chat will be archived.
Too optimistic? — MasterResource
Fowler cast my comments (quite accurately) as a hope that Obama would be a moderating force over the more radically inclined members of his party, when it comes to energy policy. However, having seen Obama’s insistence on keeping his “green” energy elements in the stimulus program, and his apparent attitude that his electoral victory was an absolute endorsement of virtually anything the Democrats want to do, I’m less confident that he’ll moderate much of anything that Pelosi, Reid, or Markey dream up.
