Top weatherman says global warming good for Russia
MOSCOW (Reuters) – Global warming may be a worry to low-lying lands but Russia's top weatherman said Wednesday that warmer temperatures would help to cut heating bills in one of the world's coldest countries.

"The heating season will be reduced and this is a positive factor for us as it will allow us to economise on fuel," Alexander Bedritsky, head of Russia's state weather centre, was quoted as saying by RIA news agency.
Tom Borelli: Cap-and-trade means energy bubble
As cap-and-trade policy raises prices and reduces jobs, America will slip further into economic chaos. Our economy, already reeling from the bursting of one corporate bubble, can’t afford another one.
AP Interview: EPA to rule on global-warming risk
WASHINGTON (AP) -- For Lisa Jackson, the new EPA administrator, the next step for the agency when it comes to climate change will be decided by a single question: Do heat-trapping gases pose a risk?

In an interview Tuesday with The Associated Press, Jackson said she was closer to having an answer.

She said the Environmental Protection Agency will soon decide whether greenhouse gases are a danger to human health and welfare, the legal trigger for regulation under federal law.

"We are going to be making a fairly significant finding about what these gases mean for public health and the welfare of our country," Jackson said.
