We need to start emissions debate | The Australian
THE Australian Government commissioned, reviewed and reported on an emissions trading system four times in the past year, but it wasn't until now that it finally asked the fundamental question of whether we should have a trading scheme at all.

The CPRS is looking more and more like a hotted up second-hand car. It sounded good in the advertisement, had all the fancy bits added on and looked really shiny and ready to go. Unfortunately, the closer you look at it, the less reliable it gets. It might not be as fancy, but an old-fashioned carbon levy would be a much more reliable way of getting from A to B, especially in these troubled economic times.
Sea Level Response to Global Warming
Al Gore and James Hansen, take note. There is currently no known way to predict -- with any reasonable and demonstrable degree of confidence -- what mean global sea level will do over the 21st century., even if mean global air temperature begins to rise once again (after having remained rather stable for the past decade).
