"Leading" environmentalists promote policy in schools

An estimated 250,000 students, staff and faculty from across the country participated in the National Teach-In on Global Warming Feb. 5.

More than 670 campuses facilitated the event, which focused on policy changes leading environmentalists believe should be enacted within the first 100 days of President Obama's administration.

The event was designed to kick off with a Webcast entitled "The First 100 Days", which featured discussions addressing global warming from notable environmentalists such as David Orr, Betsy Taylor, Billy Parish and National Wildlife Federation President Larry Schweiger.
