Wind Watch: School turbine anger

Winscombe Primary School’s new wind turbine has been christened Chinook by an peeved neighbour.

David Egremont says the wind harnessing system is a noise nuisance, despite its green credentials.

He said: “The noise is not very pleasant at the best of times but when the wind comes from the east, as has happened frequently in recent months, then it becomes a constant annoyance.

“We like to sleep with our window open but that has not been possible lately if we want a good night’s sleep.”
