Academies Mull America’s Climate [Scam] Choices - Dot Earth Blog - NYTimes.com
The National Academies have been asked by Congress to lay out “America’s Climate Choices,” and have invited several hundred of the country’s preeminent researchers in related fields to a two-day summit that ends Tuesday. The goal is to hone the questions and approaches that four panels will take in coming months. Background on the panels is below.
UN global warming stand criticized: Delta Farm Press editorial
The term “global warming” is becoming blasé. According to a recent Gallup poll, 41 percent of Americans say the concept is exaggerated. Furthermore, scientists from all over the world now believe that the Earth has actually been cooling since 2001. Our sun, they say, is going into a cooling phase and it’s the sun and not the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere that actually determines how hot or cold it gets down here.

This hasn’t sidetracked the old global warming bunch. To keep those contributions rolling in they’ve adopted new buzzwords like “climate change” and “global volatility.”

What they’re trying to tell us is that anytime the weather changes, it’s still our fault.
From India, a guy who believes in the climate scam, yet doesn't want to be burdened with "solutions"
The Indian side was stunningly silent. Our foreign minister Pranab Mukherjee, who inaugurated this bash-India do, was sidelined as he repeated the now much- abused position: "We did not create the problem and we are not required to solve it". His call that climate change should not add to a greater burden, by imposing conditionalities on countries like India , was scoffed at. Instead, leaders of the western world got a great opportunity to inform the Indian public of the inadequacy of the government's position.
In this round of the climate change public relations game, the Indian government lost badly. Worse, it has lost an opportunity to tell the industrialized world how it wants the entire world to deal with this global catastrophe, already beginning to hurt us. We are victims of climate change and the world must not be allowed to forget this.
