Pachauri to lead new climate and energy institute at Yale varsity | Sindh Today
Washington, March 10 (IANS) Leading Indian climate change expert, Rajendra K. Pachauri, director general of The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), will lead the newly established Yale Climate and Energy Institute (YCEI), the premier US institution announced Tuesday.

“We are fortunate to attract one of the world’s foremost climate change experts to lead this ambitious new institute,” Yale University President Richard C. Levin said. “No one has a more comprehensive grasp of the science and policy of climate change or has done more to bring attention to this urgent issue.”

Pachauri, who has also chaired the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) since 2002, will retain both his current positions while taking up his new responsibilities at the New Haven, Connecticut, based university.
