CHICAGO, March 27 (Reuters) - A big snow storm that began early Friday caused several meat plants to curtail operations in Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas.

The National Weather Service said the storm should continue through Saturday morning. Forecasts called for 8 to 18 inches of snow from the Texas panhandle north through western Kansas.
