Richard Lindzen (MIT) explains the value of the climate sensitivity. The bare value 1.2 °C is modified by a strong negative feedback and the resulting sensitivity about 0.3 °C is roughly ten times smaller than what the IPCC wants you to believe:Why do the eco-heroes at Google choose to run a server farm on cheap, reliable coal and nuclear power rather than on expensive, unreliable wind and solar power?
The most important thing Lenoir had to offer was an abundance of affordable electricity. With a power grid built for departed furniture manufacturers, powering the Google server farm will be easy. “We’re an attractive location because we have an infrastructure set up for large loads,” says Paige Sheehan, a spokesperson for Duke Energy, which draws most of its power from nuclear and coal plants.
