Kerry: Climate change delay is 'suicide pact'
A leading US senator warned on Wednesday that deferring potentially costly actions to combat climate change because of the global economic slump amounted to "a mutual suicide pact."Science of Bread: Bread Science 101
"Climate change is not governed by a recession, it's governed by scientific facts about what's happening to Earth. And you either accept the realities of the science or you don't," said Democratic Senator John Kerry.
He spoke after some of his colleagues argued that the United States should not impose a cap-and-trade system for so-called greenhouse gases blamed for global warming because it amounts to a painful tax during a deep downturn.
"You don't enter a mutual suicide pact because the economy is having a hard time right now," Kerry said after meeting with UN Secretary Ban Ki-moon seven months before global climate change talks in Denmark's capital.
Once reactivated, yeast begins feeding on the sugars in flour, and releases the carbon dioxide that makes bread rise...Carbonation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Carbonation occurs when carbon dioxide is dissolved in water or an aqueous solution. This process yields the "fizz" to carbonated water and sparkling mineral water, the head to beer, and the cork pop and bubbles to champagne and sparkling wine.Photosynthesis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Photosynthesis is a metabolic pathway that converts carbon dioxide into organic compounds, especially sugars, using the energy from sunlight.

Is it OK to call a Senator stupid. Becuase this one qualifies on more than one front.
BTW, he also served in Vietnam, until he could get out.
Everyoen knows Kerry took big ketchup money (who also paid off James Hanson)
Senator Kerry speaks of Global Climate Change not about what carbons are released when baking bread. It is absolutely stupid to compare what is happening to our planet and reduce this concern to nothing more than baking bread. This issue is something the senator has researched and spoken about since the 70's. He is well educated on this issue. I would suggest you and your commentor do some real research and find out some truths before you comment on this subject again. Knowledge will set you free and in this case prepare you for what needs to be done to protect our planet.
Oh, and to the commentator- Senator Kerry did in fact serve in the Navy as a Lt. and has the medals and honors to prove it. His time in the service is also no joke.
