Media Blackout - Henry Payne - Planet Gore on National Review Online

Al Gore versus the Pope. It's an internet domain name showdown :: Shane Richmond
Dot Eco say the new Top Level Domain (TLD) name will allow groups and individuals to "express their support for environmental causes", raising the question of whether climate change deniers will be allowed one, should they want it.

On the other hand, the Pope is against the idea of having his own domain name. He doesn't want ICANN, whose job it is to decide which TLDs are provided, to create .catholic and he's not keen on there being a .anglican, .hindu or, presumably, .wiccan and .satanist either.
NASA's James Hansen on Cap-and-Trade - Greg Pollowitz - Planet Gore on National Review Online
...Hansen is highly sceptical that it can work.

"It takes about 10 years to negotiate it and get all the countries on board, and then you make all sort of compromises, so it turns to be very ineffectual," he said.

"If it's going to be cap and trade, I'd rather nothing came out of Copenhagen. I'd rather take another year and two and get it right."
