Utah: Senate alters climate-change bill - Salt Lake Tribune
A bill that would require economic studies for any climate-change actions cleared the Senate on Wednesday, but not without some tweaking.

Sen. Pat Jones, D-Holladay, called the original bill a tax on ideas. She also wondered who would fund the required studies.

"It's frightening to me," Jones said, "that we would pick out one topic, climate change, and make legislators go through this exercise before they sponsor a bill."
