Amy Ridenour's National Center Blog: GE-Owned Networks' Media Bias, Conflicts-of-Interest Remain Focus Day After Stockholder Meeting
It's no wonder GE is defensive, however. As Tom's pointed questions, and Bill O'Reilly's comments tonight on the Glenn Beck TV show ("We're in an area right now that makes Watergate look like a Shirley Temple movie.") illustrate, the best that can be said about General Electric is that it is hip deep in conflict of interest. It's running TV networks that prop up liberalism, the global warming issue and Obama, while privately lobbying hard for cap-and-trade, from which it intends to profit heavily.
Alarmist Tom Yulsman weighs in
In this graph, the wide swings from 2007 to 2009 look very interesting. And there seems to be a bit of a recovery in 2009. So climate skeptics are grasping at these straws to argue that the case for global warming is collapsing. I’m really truly hoping they’re right! I wouldn’t mind blogging about something else for a change. More important, I’d really, really like to worry less about the world my kids will inherit.

At the moment, though, all I see is a less bad picture than before. And it’s still plenty bad.
DONKS HEADED FOR A TRADE-WAR WITH CHINA
Is the Democrat love affair with Communist governments over? Probably not. But it looks like green trumps red these days. Besides, China is probably not Communist enough now. A trade war with China would be incredibly stupid, however. China is far too big to bully. How would an atmospheric nuclear test in the waters off San Francisco go, for instance? If America can break its agreements, so can China. Obama could only come out of it with much mud on his face and the danger posed by the Greenies would be made plain for all to see. At the moment China is the only party talking reason about these matters. That's how low the standards in American political debate have sunk
