Climate Science: Roger Pielke Sr. Research Group News » Article In Western Water Law “Wet Winter In Arizona’s High Country Brings Worries About Floods - Not Drought”
The wet winter this year in Arizona should be yet another wake-up call to policymakers who are using multi-decadal regional climate predictions, assuming that they have skill, when the real world data indicates otherwise. The southwest USA has not moved into a perpetual drought due to the addition of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

Imperiled people worldwide might be saved financially from rising climate risk by "a little paragraph" in the global framework on climate change being drafted this December in Copenhagen. "Oh Lord, make me carbon-neutral, but not yet.”

If St Augustine were in charge of UK energy policy, he might utter such a prayer. The sheer scale and cost of putting Britain on the path towards zero carbon is only beginning to become apparent.

In its report, published on Thursday, the UK Energy Research Centre suggests that a carbon price signal of £200 a tonne, 15 times the present level, is needed if we are to reach the Government's target of an 80 per cent reduction in CO2 emissions by 2050.

Some background information on Susan Solomon is here.

"..moving from a market economy to a planned economy.."

Exactly!

A carbon target that "we" (we the collective) must fulfill is basically a planned production target right out of Marxism.

They want us to bet all our future on the belief in climate change and its necessary countermeasures.
