Coast Guard Warns Of 'Deadly' Cold Water

New Castle, N.H. -- The Coast Guard issued a warning, advising people to be careful near bitter-cold water.

The water temperature along the New England seaboard is in the low 40s, and some of New Hampshire’s inland lakes are nearly as cold. A swimmer could only survive between one and three hours in the bitter water, experts said.
